Drone Photos: A Planning Guide for Central Florida Properties

MAGIC LENS PHOTO MEDIA · FIELD GUIDE

The best drone photos answer a question about the property: how it sits on the lot, what surrounds it, or which amenities belong in the story.

This guide helps Realtors, vacation rental managers and property teams plan aerial coverage in Orlando and Central Florida. For the current photo package, pricing and custom coverage options, visit our drone photography service page.

About the cover: Magic Lens aerial photography of shared resort amenities at Windsor Cay in Clermont. These waterslides and pools are community amenities, not a private home's backyard.

Start with what the aerial view needs to explain.

For a residential listing, that may be the relationship between the home, outdoor living area and surrounding setting. For a vacation rental, a separate amenity image can explain the shared resort experience. For a builder or development, the useful view may show several homes, a streetscape or the scale of a project.

Choose a few views with distinct purposes. A closer angle can establish the home; a wider frame can add context. Keep captions specific so buyers and guests understand what is private, what is shared and what is nearby.

Choose the right scope.

01 · Aerial photos only

A focused option when you already have interior photography and need the exterior perspective. See the current standalone drone package for its inclusions and price.

02 · A complete property presentation

If the entire listing needs new media, review our real estate media packages and discuss how aerial coverage fits the shoot.

03 · A larger or more specific project

Land, developments, commercial properties, community amenities, multiple locations and drone video may need a custom scope. Share the project details so the coverage can be quoted around the actual brief.

Send a brief that makes the shoot purposeful.

  • Property and location: send the address, property type and any separate amenity locations.
  • Priority features: identify the setting, outdoor areas or community features the photos should explain.
  • Access: explain gate arrangements, on-site contacts and access to shared facilities.
  • Intended use and timing: tell us where the media will appear and your target launch date.

Before booking, confirm the scope, deliverables, delivery schedule, permitted uses and booking conditions directly with Magic Lens for your project.
